Creating A Healthier Niagara Falls Wellness Fair at Legends Park
On Saturday June 29th, we wrapped up the Creating a Healthier Niagara Falls project. It was a great time had by all and a way for the community and partners to celebrate the end of a successful project.The weather held up after predictions of rain in the forecast.
With over 70 participants the Wellness Fair, it was a huge success. Families came out from Phase 1 in the target area and received giveaways that will help them stay active and have fun over the summer.
Many of our project partners attended and had informational booths where residents could learn about the services offered in right in their communities.
There was a Zumba class, free hot dogs on wheat buns, activities for kids, and a homemade mosquito trap workshop ran by ReNU's VISTA's.
Each resident that came was entered into a raffle for a door prize of a Wii and Wii Fit. Check out some of the pictures below!
